joy found.

In the past year I have had the privilege of making encouragement totes for people walking in circumstances that none of us want anyone to be in.
Cancer diagnosis.
Death of a child.
Addiction.
Divorce.
Loss of a mother.
I have to tell you that in the midst of all this pain there is joy found in making these totes & praying for the people I am making them for.
Sometimes I personally know the recipient but lately I’ve been making more & more for people unknown to me.
But I don’t have to know them to pray for them.
I don’t even have to know their situation to call their name out to the Lord.
There are no ‘fill-in-the-blanks’ necessary with God.
He knows.
& I love how God allows us to use our giftedness with each other.
Even in the giving we receive.
Even in the pain there is joy.
God is so good.
ps. Know someone that could use a little encouragement?
Leave a comment with their name {no details needed, remember?} & I will select someone at random to send a tote to on your behalf for free.
Enter by Thursday, February 10th for this little giveaway.
This brings me so much joy!

  1. Bridget Gramith, mom of 9 ~ Early Friday morning January 28th, Bridget woke with severe chest pains. 911 was dispatched and as she was being transported out of the home, she went in to cardiac arrest. The EMTs spent 20 minutes on the ride to the hospital attempting to resuscitate. Within 1 mile of North Fulton Regional Hospital in Alphartta, a pulse was detected. Once she was moved into the emergency room, she went into cardiac arrest for another 20 minutes. As the doctors tried to stabilize she went down again for 5 more minutes which then triggered the decision to airlift her to St. Josephs.

Once at St. Josephs, the doctors quickly found blockage in the left anterior descending artery. A stent was inserted and she was stabilized. At this point her heart had a stroke ejection fraction at 5-10% of what is ideally 55-60%. The doctors inserted a ballon pump into her heart to help with the pumping.

By the next day her ejection fraction had increased to 30-35%. We praised God!

By Sunday she was able to write a few requests and showed evidence of normal brain functionality.

As of Tuesday February 1st, Bridget has had the pump and the breathing tube removed along with a removal of most of her medications. The recovery has been miraculous to say the least. We all thank God and all who have been praying for her recovery. Continue praying. She has a long way to go but with God's mercy, she will come home.
That's why I would like to nominate her. She is a good friend of ours. Thanks ~ Charity Courson
